Weather report—a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away

Tatooine

At the moisture farms in the Dune Sea on Tatooine every day is double-sunny and double-hot, including today. There are 38 degrees right now and this is as hot as it'll get for the day. Expect a few squalls kicking up desert sand.

Hoth

An icy cold night tonight at Echo Base on Hoth—with a slight chance of flurries, light snow showers and annihilation. Please make sure that no tauntauns are left outside or they'll turn into popsicles. A waning crescent Death Star will be visible through the cracks in the clouds.

Cloud City

A balmy day today up in Cloud City, with a day's high at 24 degrees and the cloud sea low enough to offer a decent sight. The visibility is expected to improve even more in the afternoon. Keep it up, folks!

Alderaan

Nice and sunny in Aldera today, on beautiful Alderaan. Some showers are expected tomorrow. Unfortunately there seems to be a glitch about Tuesday's high temperature and no readings from Wednesday on for some reason—we apologize for the technical difficulty. On the bright side, we have a new artificial moon called The Death Star and it's crescent is clearly visible and awesome. Enjoy.

Dagobah

In the steaming bayous and petrified gnarltree forests of Dagobah it is awful wet—as usual—and it won't get better for a while: we're expecting a lot more fog, mist, rain showers, and murky weather. Hold on in there you try. Hey, just kidding!

JOHAN KAJANDER - you totally missed the point. The "K" stands for thousands, not kelvin. (hence, the DS blew it up - that's why it's so hot at first, and then no weather report). :)

Wow. Really? Star Wars = trilogy? Because as far as I am concerned, that is merely the beginning. There are so many novels and back stories that to say that seems ignorant. I, myself, have read over 25 novels and they're freaking amazing. I am aware of all the work that goes into these little weather reports but, to make them accurate would be best. Like having Bespin instead of Cloud City. And how could you forget Coruscant? That seems like an obvious choice. These are pretty funny but, because of the huge Star Wars nerd (and general detail oriented person) that I am, I demand a bit more "realism". And yes, I am a 26 year old milf of 2 and I am proud to be a Star Warrior.

Absolutely no one cares about your attention to detail and/or how many books you have read. It's apparent that the original trilogy is cherished more than the prequels or any other garbage that Cartoon Network puts out, let alone any of the books.

You could totally port these into Beautiful Widgets (for Android). It doesn't need to make "sense"; fans would still love it. At night, instead of the moon you'd see the Death Star. For cloudy days, you'd see Cloud City, etc. You'd lose some of what makes these pieces of art interesting (Hoth's ice all along the top; colours per-weather-type, etc) but it'd still be fun.

I've never tried moving something to Beautiful Widgets, but if you have any interest at all, I'll do the research and do the port; I would only need the source files. ;-)
