Started in 2003, this blog turns 8 years old today, going on 9.

If blog years are anything like dog years, Kit·blog is rather old. Lately it rarely speaks, actually, beside those cryptic picture headlines. Don't get mad about that. Silence gets golden with age, it seems.

It still has pretty good eyes though, wisely and lovingly inspecting that coarse film grain.

Regret is like the view from under the brim of a stylish hat that fits perfectly: picture it like a voluptuous slow scene from a Wong Kar-wei movie, barely spoken—in Cantonese with English subtitles.

Regret is like an old rock ballad's vinyl release—and I'm talking about that very rare Japanese mono edition—, like that black and white photograph with a lost man and a lost cat in a big city, or the thought about those first notes of autumn scent detectable in the evening air.

Regret takes years of careful preparations and should never be left to amateurs.

There must be some sort of self-destructive mechanism buried in the minds of men, linking this subtly bizarro shop window in central Bucharest with Charles Bukowski's — probably inebriated — words:

the thought has occurred to millions of men
while shaving
the removal of life might be preferred to
the removal of hair

But then again, Bukowski died of leukemia.

Aneta Bogdan with her team at Brandient has been ranked by the Royal Government of Bhutan as the top consultant in the tender for developing the Made in Bhutan brand.

The process is endorsed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and administered by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (Trade Department) of Bhutan.

Shortlisted initially on a list of seven consultants, the Technical Proposal submitted by Aneta has been ranked with the highest score.

The next step will consist of comparing the financial proposals of the two finalists in order to decide the winner.
