Software Adobe ripping off European customers

The scandal regarding Adobe CS3 Euro rip-off is climbing. Read The Register's coverage here, as well as the pricing analysis and Adobe's insolent answers here. Also please sign the petition "Fair pricing for European Software" if you haven't signed it yet (unless, of course, you enjoy being ripped off).

I already signed the petition weeks ago... As far as I know, Adobe is the only software produces with SUCH discriminatory pricing policies. On the other hand, the average american doesn't have any notion about eur-usd ratios - in the US an eur is as good as a buck (this is for real) - to Adobe's home public isn't much disturbed, andh that's all that counts for them...

American ignorance regarding Europe doesn't matter here — Adobe product prices are not set by a bunch of average Joes oblivious to whatever happens outside their Kansas trailer park.

The most disturbing fact is that Adobe couldn't come up with a valid explanation for the pricing anomaly, royally disregarding the over 8000 people who signed up the petition until now.

This is corporate arrogance, Microsoft-style. Monopoly is a bad, bad thing.
