     	&lt;p&gt;Laura and her illustrious father are oblivious to the notion of design excellence and the user experience that emerges from this. And—even more interesting—they seem to be equally unaware of the power a brand like Apple has. And, as consultants, their job is to know.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Or—they&amp;#8217;re ill-intended for some reason.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Anyway. Their school of thought (&amp;#8220;being the first&amp;#8221; positioning) is so dated it&amp;#8217;s mostly inapplicable/irrelevant nowadays.&lt;/p&gt;
