One man dying is replaced by several new-born. It's always the same, the world doesn't end with you, me or anyone else. It's not a very self-gratifying thought, considering our self-centrism, but this is natural. Nothing ends, it just transforms :)

There is no spoon. :)

You are perfectly right. Yet I seriously doubt that many of the newborns have the profile Speak Up (via its contributors) used to have. Shrewd little mammal bastards, nowhere near the awesomeness of the mighty dinosaurs!

On the other hand, I'm hardly the most objective commenter on the matter—the blog we're reading right now feels like dying, too.

Well, they surely won't have a lot of things the Speak Up contributors had (including growing up without the internet, which is a huge diffence on its own). But that is a good thing, each generation having new things to deal with, right? It would be boring otherwise, and humans get bored pretty fast, we'd die slowly out of plain boredom :P

And about the objectivity matter, I like to consider it this way: blogging less and less means I've got other much more interesting things to do :)

*one question, unrelated: what is the "Remember personal info" option supposed to do?

Thought so.
Sad to say it never worked for me, be it on PC, home mac or office mac (cookies are not set to be deleted when I close Firefox). It only works if I don't close the tab, for further comments, like this one. Weird.
