Sad. But there are almost 20 years since matters like this should have been cleared. There is a fresh rumor about a law that will "cut out" an elite among the artists... one that can pay enough.

Dude, until some good law firm will start representing artists and copyright issues, win some trials, prove it's possible and make it not worth it to steal works, nothing will change.

It's an incentives problem, the vast majority will never start doing 'the right thing' just because of ethics.

Yes, a working justice would make this country a civilized one in no time, Vivi, that's my opinion, too—I think that a country can only function as well as its justice.

Regarding the ethics part: I'm pretty sure this kind of mess cannot happen in printed newspapers. Blame it on the lack of people or the lack of tradition, but the flexibility and immediacy of the medium seems to render the journalistic ethics pretty flexible as well.
