     	&lt;p&gt;While bloggers might get away with it, a like/dislike approach is exactly what I find inappropriate in high-profile cases like this when it comes from the press or industry experts. I'd call it &lt;em&gt;business tabloidization&lt;/em&gt;. Let's wait and see how it works, how they're going to use it.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We only know what they want us to in this process, and some of the real issues they're addressing with this will remain locked in their research and board-room presentations.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Re techies reaction—imagine Google unveiling its current identity today. Childish, analog, lo-tech, not representative for the company's dimension, strength or technological cutting edge etc. Can you picture the reactions, especially with the bloggers and the techies?&lt;/p&gt;
